The LLM is Anthropic Claude Sonnet 4.5 via the us.* cross-region inference profile. Embeddings use Amazon Titan Text Embeddings V2 (1024 dimensions). Both require one-time model access opt-in in the Bedrock console.
Yes. Set USE_MOCK_LLM=true in the backend .env to run with mock AI responses and local file storage. The full UI, auth, document upload, and chat flows work with zero AWS credentials.
